I am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office), which means I need to tell you what data I am collecting and what I intend to do with it.

What data do I keep and why?

Below is a list of the data I will ask you for before starting therapy.

  • Email and phone number – as a way of contacting you.
  • Emergency contact – someone who I should contact if there is a serious incident within our sessions

Will I share your data?

It is very unlikely that I would have to share any of your data. I may have to share it if my notes are required by court or if you or anyone you tell me about are at risk of harm. If this was the case, I would be required to pass this data onto the police.

I also have my own clinical supervision and share information about my work. At all times, I work within GDPR guidelines, and no details are discussed using identifiable information.

If you would like to complain about how I store your data or have any questions. Please bring this to my attention, so that I can understand and address your concerns. If you would like further support, or guidance, please contact ICO, who should be able to help.
